Event Date:
7 May 2026
Event Time:
19:00
Event Location:
The Turners, 1 Ingersley Rd, Bollington, Cheshire, SK10 5RE, United Kingdom
Event Description
In this workshop meeting we are going to work through how one might process a camera RAW image. We will use Adobe Lightroom – but the underlying principles should carry across to other software packages. Please bring to the workshop on a USB drive: 1. A single camera RAW file of your choice (it can be a photo you are pleased with or one you consider could be improved (particularly through exposure and/ or the way it is cropped), 2. Plus (if you wish) A finalised .jpg file you have processed from the same RAW file. We will work through the images live on the large screen, discuss and compare post-processing methods/differences.
We will also spend some time looking at camera settings for those planning to take photographs at the Bollington Festival. Especially the best types of lenses to use, the max ISO and Auto ISO settings for indoor/stage lighting. Please consider bringing your camera along together with the lenses you intend to use at the festival.
