About this event

Refresher on how to set-up different cameras; understanding the camera modes: P. A (or Av). S (or Tv). M. – which ones to change for different creative effects. The effects of using different focal length zoom or telephoto lenses. Please feel free to bring your camera along with a lens so that you can refer to the different controls and exposure modes. I will be briefly talking about smartphones too (especially the new iPhone 18 Pro which has a physical aperture control on it’s main camera). Please can you all sit together by the main camera brand you use this evening – so iPhone (iOS), and Samsung (Android) smartphone users sit together, Nikon, Canon, Panasonic (etc) camera users sit together.

  • Your Profile Page brings together everything about your activity on our site – posts, comments, messages, photos, subscriptions, and more – from your most recent entry to your first.

The Profile Page contains...

  • Your Profile Info
  • Timeline – a feed of all your activity
  • Account Settings – update login, notifications, privacy, data export, or delete your account
  • Membership – view or change your membership, see past transactions
  • Messages – conversations with other members
  • Groups – your subscribed groups
  • Photo Gallery – images you’ve posted
  • Forums & Blogs – your contributions
  • Notifications – alerts and updates
  • Personal Gallery – create your own photo collection

Navigate to your membership Profile

  • Easiest way: From the members’ news page, click the large orange button under your profile photo labeled “Go to your profile page”.
  • On desktop or mobile: Use the Home menu → Members dropdown → then select Profile Page or Membership Account.

Your Membership

You can change or cancel your subscription anytime during your membership.
  • Follow: Home → Members →  Membership Account.
  • Or: Home →  Profile Page → Membership Account.
How to adjust your subscription:
  • At any stage during your membership period, you may alter (or cancel – shock horror!!) your subscription payments to the group. Please note this is only valid with a current membership.
  • Any new subscription selected will commence after the expiry of the previous subscription period.
💳 Note: Payments are securely handled by Stripe. We don’t store and cannot access your card details. If your subscription lapses, it will be cancelled for security reasons, and you’ll need to reapply for membership.

First names rather than ‘nicknames’ are also appreciated – I don’t know a member called ‘happy snapper’, do you?    Let us know who you are. ‘Sue’ or ‘Phil’ is so much friendlier!

Follow one-another, that way you will know when our members have captured the perfect shot, or commented on someone else’s work. Make sure you ‘connect’ to each other as well – look out for your  invitation. Once connected, you will be able to message one-another in ‘real  time’ and really feel part of our group.
