Both images are nicely layered – foreground, mid and distance (mirroring the three groups of rocks) this works well. I think my preference is for the landscape shot as you have more of a dramatic wide angle and with more movement in the wave visible. I like the colour in the rocks but I’ve tried it in black and white which i think looks more dramatic.
