Really nice afternoon out. From Home, through the Recreation Ground, up onto the Middlewood Way as far as the ‘wet areas’, over to the Canal and finally off near the road down to The Vale to call in for a drink. Here’s some of my photos. Hope you like them…..

Greetings Photography People. So, the voting for our latest BPG Photo Wall Images is concluded. Over the next few days, the twelve entries with the most votes will be confirmed. Then I’ll print them onto ‘Oyster Finish’ A3 paper and they’ll be framed and put up on our BPG Photo Wall in the Turners. All being well the new display will be up…

Some images taken today in Castlefield, Manchester on a walk with Kevin – we had fabulous sunshine. I have toned these using both Lightroom & Photoshop. The tritone effect is still too strong – I want to make it more subtle. The effect I am after is just a very slightly warmed-up black & white.

I wanted to create a tritone image similar to some wonderfully toned B&W printed images in a book I own called ‘Ansel Adams at 100’.
